Fansler said the elderly woman’s now deceased husband bought one of the watches for her and she later bought the other watch for him, the report said.

The police department is hoping the buyers will come forward and return the watches to the woman, Fansler said. Anyone who does that will not be charged with a crime, he added.

Those who suspect they may have the watches should contact Fansler at (863) 699-3757 or email him at lakeplacidchief@gmail.com
